The 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-class will be one of the mainly technologically advanced cars on the road when it goes on sale presently this year. Mercedes says that the car's development focused on the long-wheelbase edition for the first time, due the high quantity of cars that will be sold in this form. In long-wheelbase appearance the new S-class is 21mm longer, 29mm wider and 11mm superior to the current model.
One of the key modernizations for the new S-class is Road Surface Scan, a system that uses a camera to notice bash or dips in the road ahead and immediately adjusts the suspension to deal with it. A range of high-tech safety systems are obtainable. Mercedes' latest Pre-Safe system can distinguish pedestrians or vehicles in front and apply the car's brakes if essential, while there's also a new "belt bag" – an inflatable seat-belt strap that's designed to decrease the risk of wound to rear passengers by plummeting the strain placed on their tease enclose.
